#009: 3 Travel-Friendly Fitness Tips to Stay On Track 💪🏼

Have you ever struggled to stay on track with your fitness routine while traveling?

I know I have.

Last week, my family and I celebrated my parents’ 36th wedding anniversary in Pennsylvania. Although it was filled with good food and good times, I was worried about needing more exercise during the trip.

So, I committed myself to getting at least one workout in.

Ultimately, I only managed to do one TRX workout, which was okay. We walked around so much that I still felt like I got a lot of activity.

Sticking to your usual routine when you’re out of your comfort zone can be tricky. So, I wanted to share some of my go-to travel strategies that help me stay on track:

  1. Take more walks to get some extra steps: This is a great way to exercise without going to the gym. You can walk around your hotel, explore the city, or even just walk to and from restaurants and attractions.
  2. Focus on hitting my daily protein goal to keep my body fueled: Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, so it’s important to ensure you’re getting enough of it when traveling. You can do this by packing protein bars, shakes, or other protein-rich foods.
  3. Do a few simple mobility exercises to stay loose and feel good: Mobility exercises can help to improve your range of motion and reduce your risk of injury. You can do these exercises anywhere, and you need little-to-no equipment.
